Our 2024-2027 strategic plan builds on the accomplishments of the previous years which laid the foundation for longer-term planning and expansion. Today, as we embark on our next chapter, that is exactly what we are doing.

Literacy Now!
In 2015, The Reading Partnership, along with parents, teachers, and other community groups came together to create the KGO Literacy Improvement Collective (KLIC) with the goal of designing a community-wide literacy improvement strategy.
KLIC engaged a researcher to examine the literacy landscape in KGO, review successful models for improving literacy in other communities, and deliver recommendations for literacy initiatives to support the KGO community.
Taking a community-based approach, this research involved:
- Interviews with 25 people who live or work in KGO
- Four focus groups with 20 members of the community
- Two community forums which attracted over 200 participants
Literacy Now!, published in 2018, shares discoveries and recommendations for improved literacy that came from these conversations.
